Life is too short, and I do not know why people always make it difficult. How I wish we could all learn from a dead body. The funny thing about life is that once we are dead, we will not even remember all that we did in this world, whether good or bad. Imagine that every dead body is the same. There is no rich dead body or poor dead body. Once you are dead, you will simply be referred to as a dead body, not a professor’s dead body or a president’s dead body.
None of our achievements will follow us to the grave. The only things that truly matter are the good deeds we have done and the lives we have touched positively. If we constantly reflected on this, many of us would probably shun evil. However, human beings are quick to forget. When we attend funerals and see how a dead body is buried, we often become sober, repentant, and reminded of how meaningless worldly pursuits can be. Yet, after a while, we forget and return to our normal lives, continuing in the same manner as before.
One of the issues we have in the world today is that globalization, despite its benefits, has its disadvantages. Many unwanted influences have crept into societies that were once peaceful. Religion is also one of the challenges we face. Imagine a religion that teaches that the more you kill for your god, the greater your reward in heaven. What kind of brainwashed ideology is that? It is sad that no one truly knows what happens after death. If we did, perhaps it would call many of us to a position of repentance and reflection.
Religion has caused conflicts, sometimes even more than tribalism. We really need to learn how to live in peace with our fellow human beings. Why are we killing one another for money that we cannot take with us or for positions that will one day be occupied by someone else, even someone not yet born? Why do people always say, “Do you know who I am?” as if they are God? Life will move on without us regardless of how powerful we think we are. The people who are remembered most are often those who sacrificed their lives for meaningful change and positive transformation. Since we are all going to die one day, we should be willing to speak the truth.
Another issue we have is politics. The saying that politics is dirty is often true. It is difficult to be involved in politics without getting your hands dirty, whether directly or indirectly. In our country, many leaders have questionable pasts, yet they still find their way into positions of power. Some people even seek political office to protect themselves from accountability for past actions. It is unfortunate that in a country like ours, it is difficult for someone without a political godfather to rise to leadership.
Politics is supposed to be a platform through which people choose leaders who will govern and make decisions on their behalf. However, what do we often see? Stomach infrastructure, personal interests, and the pursuit of wealth seem to matter more than service. Since we only live once, many people become willing to do anything to achieve their ambitions, whether right or wrong. Sadly, this is part of human nature.
The same thing applies to life in general. Wherever there are human beings, there will be disagreements, crises, and confusion. The truth is that no one can please everyone. Nevertheless, we should do our best to make a positive impact that people can genuinely feel.
People say Hive is decentralized, but those with the largest stakes still hold significant influence over the affairs of the blockchain. Although anyone can increase their stake through investment, what about those who accumulated thousands of coins with relatively little effort? Influence often comes from wealth, and acquiring wealth is not easy. Many things happen behind the scenes before people become wealthy. I can understand why some people are willing to do almost anything to get money. No one is entirely selfless; many people simply pursue what benefits them. I have seen this reality in many places. It is just the nature of the world we live in.
If you ask a child today what they want to become, many will simply tell you they want to make a lot of money, not necessarily solve problems or contribute to society.
We need to be human first before anything else. Being human means being responsible, doing what is right, and contributing positively to the betterment of humanity.
