Today, after about three months, I decided to start working on my garden again. Thank God that we are back from the hospital after spending about two weeks there. It is well.
Life will certainly happen to us in ways that we may not be prepared for, but we just have to keep pushing and believe that, with time, everything we have lost will be returned.
I worked in the backyard by clearing it to see if I could plant maize there, since we are approaching the dry season. I can do manual irrigation so that the crops will not dry up.
I have been thinking about what I can do to make more money. As a teacher, the salary is never enough to take care of all the household needs. Especially when you remove the cost of transportation and feeding, you are often left with nothing, and sometimes you cannot even save. It is just what it is.
So, it is imperative to look for another source of income. Now that we are resuming again, I am thinking of starting lessons for some students, if the government will not frown upon it. It seems that whenever there is a little opportunity or another way for us to make money, the government always finds a way to block it.
We just have to keep trying our best. The economic situation keeps getting worse day by day. And nobody cares about anybody. You have to work before you can eat, and there is no manna from heaven. If you do not work, there is no food for you, unless you come from a very wealthy family that has already paid the bills and made the necessary sacrifices.
Life is short, and we have to do what it takes to enjoy it while we can.
Tomorrow is never promised, and we have to live our lives as if tomorrow may never come.
