Once upon a time, the commander of the Magadha Empire reached Pataliputra from any personal work to meet Chanakya. The evening had passed, Chanakya was writing something in the light of the lamp in his cottage on the Ganges coast.
After a while, when the commander entered inside, Chanakya made the voice to the servant and said, "Please take this lamp and burn another lamp."
The servant did exactly what he obeyed.
When the discussion ended, the commander inquired anxiously: "O my lord, one thing I did not understand! On my arrival, you put a lamp in the lamp and gave it to keep burning the second lamps. When there was no difference between the two, what is the reason for doing this? "
Chanakya smiled at the commander, "Brother, when you came first, I was doing the work of the state, it was the oil purchased by the treasury, but when I talked to you, my lamp was lit because the conversation with you was personal I have no right to spend the state's wealth in personal work, that is why I did this. "
He continued to say- "Love from home means to protect the object of your country as its object. Do not do any such thing which strikes the greatness of the country, each country has its own culture and ideals. Working towards the ideals protects the self-respect of the country.
