I have been doing Steemit for about three weeks now, and when I started I had delusions of grandeur. I felt that people should here what I have to say, or at least I hope they listen to what I have to say. I am quite familiar with getting ahead of myself, I have come to understand that it takes TIME to build a following that is willing to pay attention to what you have to say everyday. I am always willing to learn new things, and actually learning how to engage my audience is fun. I find it exciting to have to work for your attention, and make no mistake that is what every individual in this place is doing. There one exception to this rule I can think of, there are some here that are just investing in Steemit and they may not have any interest in engaging in social media.
Other then that, everyone that makes posts wants to be heard, we are competing to some degree or other for attention. Now I say this because this competition is healthy, at the moment, and it inspires creativity! Each person that is trying to make money doing this is thinking to themselves "what can I do to keep my audiences attention." This is the realization I have come to, and I can now see what I must do. In my first couple post I mentioned that I would always try and be transparent with what I am doing here, I will never try to manipulate my audience, there are too many people in the world doing that already. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! I really like that saying.
You will find that I do repeat myself quite a bit, I was taught the greatest teacher is repetition its self! I do want to get my messages out to all of you, but I know now that I can not just snap my finger and make that happen. I must prove to you all that I am trust worthy, and I have to keep everyone that is following me engaged. This can be a daunting task for anyone trying to reach a huge audience, I do not have enough money saved up in Steem to do contests so I will have to try and find another way to get your attention. When I do have enough saved up I would love to actually do give away's, their are some here that do that all the time and it is brilliant and very kind of them!
This leads me to why I am writing this post today, I would like to hear what all of you would like me to do for you!! What can I do for you? Do you need help with something, that talking out the problem might help? I do not want anything in return, I just want to help in some way. I know I have a very level head and a great deal of common sense, I am one that can find solutions to problems by talking it out. I have been a practicing Buddhist for over 20 years now, and this way of life has given me the ability to help others with a great deal of issues. I have been ordained by my teacher as a Priest, and I have not until now put myself out there for others on this scale. I want to give my experience and knowledge to others so that they may find happiness, for happiness is the one thing in all of human kind that we all want! My services, to clearly define them, are providing a balanced and clear mind approach to everyday life! I can teach, those that are interested how to meditate as well.
I am also a martial artist and have studied for about 20 years as well, now due to a multitude of injuries I am no longer to do the full extent of what I use to do. I was able to do many acrobatic techniques before I hurt myself, that at this moment would kill me if I try to do them, but I am able to teach a wide variety of ground based martial arts.
What Am I Teaching?
I will now describe to some extent, the style of martial arts and discipline of Buddhism I practice. The type of martial arts I practice is called "WU SHU" it means martial arts in Mandarin Chinese. Wu Shu is a broad term used to describe many different styles that encompasses the entirety of Chinese Martial Arts. To explain even further, there is tiger, crane, snake, monkey, Buddha palm, ect.. these are just a few styles that lye under the umbrella of Wu Shu! Every type of martial arts today owes its start from Wu Shu, except Capoeira. Now as an ordained Buddhist Priest I am able to teach people quite a bit about Buddhism itself. The type of Buddhism I have been trained in is called Vjrayana Buddhism, it employs a great deal of visualizations, a practice that speeds up the process of self realization as well as the development of Bodhidichita. I will not be able to teach in full detail due to the nature of the practice itself, and it also depends on the person I am teaching as well. Without direct one on one iterations, it would be irresponsible for me to teach someone these practices without knowing who they are to some extent, it is a very high level path with many twists and turns. This is the type of Buddhism that the Tibetan monks study, i.e. the Dalai Lama. I have also been trained in Za Zen mediation, it is the back bone of my practice. It is also called clear mind mediation, just like it sounds you clear your mind of all thought using techniques that have developed to help with this incredibly hard task!
Let Me Know!
So there you have it, I want to help any of you that want my help! I have these skills and want to put myself out there for everyone with a good heart, to learn from me what I have spent the past two decades training to do. I do not see, and have asked my teachers, why I should not try to reach people using the internet. In order to learn what you are capable of you have to be willing to open yourself up. The next leg of this wonderful journey is to give back some if not all the knowledge I have been so graciously given, to be at a point to be able to teach others is the greatest gift you can bestow on those that taught you! Thank you for reading my post!
