Orca are known as being the most socially connected beings on this planet. Even more so than humans, which gives you a slight idea of how emotionally sensitive and driven these animals are in their lives. Considering this, it is not that too hard to understand that these apex predators will travel with their families/pods.
This is a common sight to see when you come upon orca in any part of the world, a big pod/family traveling together. From a distance it typically looks like little white puffs coming off the sea surface (blow) and tiny black sticks going up and down, which is their dorsal fins. All in all, if you are lucky enough to experience orca it is always an encounter that you never forget
