Thought flow from a night of false sleep // Fluxo de pensamento de uma noite de falso sono
The totally bad brain. Which, atrophied, blinks dry as if in a rotating torpor of mucous membranes that lubricate with sand a merry-go-round of emotions sipped by intrinsic and guillotinesque reveries in ochre palette. I wanted to love everything like Whitman, but I am trapped in a mental pool edge where, as in a game of The Sims, the ferocious player has removed the exit ladder from the pool to watch the character swim until he dies of total exhaustion. In this way loving is harder than arming. Remembering to forget, forgetting to arm, smiling to hurt, hurting to bleed. Pulsating bands in my ears or resonating pulses in my plasma tissue? The pale dura mater protects me from microwave waves, the unshaven beard confesses my sins of depression, the tired look proves the change of medication. A friend asks for the number of the psychiatrist. Is he a good one? Does he help you like you help him? I then remember the money, I need to pay the psychiatrist, is the verbiage I express clear enough? Clear as a target sulfite that comes flying out of the packet and cuts off the toes of a salaried employee who in the nineties couldn't claim the basics of the basics? I remember a nanny who locked herself in the bathroom when she was thwarted, she was practically a teenager. Where did she come from and where did she go? Today she must be an old lady, at least in her fifties. I have a picture next to her at the club where I went swimming, where I learned to swim, where I got pneumonia, and where I played in those concrete mazes that looked like pipes from Super Mario. Friends. Where are they? Who are they? Where did they go? I remember when I once met Cassiano and Emanuel at the pool, I always thought Cassiano was gay. I always thought he was a very nice person, I know that nowadays he lives in New Zealand, or for a while he did. I keep thinking a lot about all this, about those people who have lived by my side and who have succeeded in life much more prominently and efficiently than I have. I am not even talking about my friends from my adolescence who nowadays earn fifteen thousand a month, I am talking about the children from my childhood who were around me at that time, and who were not necessarily my friends. Some of them could even be potential enemies if I lived in this make-believe life of those who believe in enemies. Of the memories only photos remain. While I write, my brain is beating, but I don't want to take medicine, because it is too much medicine, isn't it? The change of medication has everything to be good, but it has everything to take a long time to help. And until then, where will I end up? I don't know. I feel washed out and tired, and I wish it were different. The obscure mixture of norepinephrine and almost exhausting sleep makes me not really know how to act. The steamy music doesn't please but it doesn't displease, it doesn't fill and it doesn't refine. My girlfriend must be tired of all this talk, all this talk she has to put up with from me. And we don't even live together yet. At least I no longer take Zolpidem at business hours, I don't go into dark feelings of depressive delirium and scalp myself in dismembered cravings for light-headed, ground-up pills chewed between my teeth. But not every pill in the world will free you from the energetic and emotional harassment caused by unnecessary information fished out online (like about damn supposed movie directors who are actually rapists and sickos who use pop culture names like Lucifer Valentine, or about this whole iceberg of Oojacks and their subcategories). Bathtub potato French fries being thrown on his body, not too hot, just bathy. A puff of powdered melatonin in your nostrils, watchful eyes, watchful eyes, songs from friends who have made it big, bands who have risen in life, girls and boys who have become somebody. Have you become somebody? Why do you belittle yourself? Why do you think you are not someone, or that you are not successful? What if you made a list, took the name of every person from your childhood and adolescence, and analyzed their life, their virtual life, like a vacant and obscurely jealous stalker, obese, sweaty and purulent, in uncomfortable tight clothes chewing fried chicken in continuous quick nibbles, lit by the blue of the laptop screen you don't have (just like Woojack "The Consoomer" you saw earlier)? Did everyone actually rise and grow in life? Did everything work out for everybody? I don't know, I don't know. Is it healthy to inform myself about it? Maybe... maybe it is. Maybe they will act more like me (those who are crooked and broken) and then that classic phrase that guides the facebooks of aunts and grandmothers will come in: Up close, no one is normal. Up close, no one is normal. Up close, no one is normal. Up close, no one is normal. Up close, no one is normal. From, up close nobody is, normal. Up close is normal. Nobody is up close. Nobody is normal. Nobody is close. Normal is close. Normal is nobody.

Quem sabe... quem sabe seja.
