Looks like it has been almost a month since I have been non-active.. Well not completely non-active as such, I would still jump on from time to time and check out a few posts, upvote a few and that but I just never had time to post anything. Apologies.
Our Paka
For anyone who has watched The Whale Rider you will understand the reference. For anyone who hasnt, I definitely recommend you give it a watch. The Whale Rider is based on the novel written by Witi Ihimaera and is about the ancient maori customs and how one maori girl named Paikea disrupts it all to claim her birthright. She is brought up by her grandparents and has a close bond with her grandfather in particular who she calls Paka.
Now when this movie premiered in 2002, my grandfather adopted the nickname and since then we have forever called him our Paka. On 12 June 2017, our Paka passed away 馃槦 He was fighting cancer so it was to be expected nonetheless the hurt remains.

March of Empires
My partner would play this game on his phone non-stop with any free time that he had so, naturally, it made me curious. I created an account and that is where I went wrong.
March of Empires is so awesome!! haha You become this character that needs to fight its way to the throne of the realm and become Emperor/Empiress. To do that, you need to upgrade all buildings within your castle, train your troops, gather resources and form or join alliances to fight together.
Naturally, I love myself a bit of strategy and challenge so I was game - I wanted to have an awesome username so I called myself Empiress - After I named my character that, I was informed it was actually spelt Empress hahahaha BUT in my defence, I am going by the Urban Dictionary which defines Empiress to be "Queen of all things dark". Or something or rather. Either way, that is me.
And then, I created an alliance - [NZA] NZAPHNX
Its all exciting stuff but theres no point with the carry on if no one is really interested. And I say that because when I bring it up to people, they roll their eyes and give no shits. So to those people, a big Fuck you - My army would destroy the shit out of you!! 馃槀

Without rambling on about the rest of my life, that is the general state of things.
- Work is still mint, cant complain about that at all.
- Passed my papers this semester - And lemme tell ya, working and study... 馃槳
- Have a roof over our heads, even though its fucking damp as shit. cant complain.
- Food in the cupboards - which now reminds me, I should probably cut down haha
- Clothes on our back, even though most weeks its a struggle getting them dry.
- And have my family surrounding me with so much love.
Keep your loved ones close, treat people with respect and ultimately have fun doing life my friends!!
