If I could revive someone, I know who that exactly would be, my choice is very clear. The moment I think about it, only one person came to my mind. It would not be any animal, or any famous person. It would be my grandfather, he is my dad’s dad. So, why did I choose him out of all people? My idea of it is very simple. First of all I have not met him, he passed away before I was born, so I only know about him from my dad’s stories. I sometimes wish that I could have met him, just to have him in my life, to have him listen to me, sit next to him and for him to smile at me.
My dad always told me how good my grandfather was as a person. How he was a great human being, with a beautiful and kind heart. My grandfather was a man of ethics he was a gentleman. He was quite broad minded amd respectful towards women. From what I have heard he never betrayed anyone’s trust. My dad said to me, "When I was a kid, I was very naughty but my father never hit me, he only scolded me. But he was also unable to scold properly because he would feel bad about it. He was a man of kindness and simplicity." So yeah, I can conclude that my grandfather was truly good person
There's a surprising thing I found that my grandfather always wanted to have a daughter, but he never had one. All he had were sons. As he could never have a little girl of his own, he always wanted his sons to have daughters when they get married, hehe.
My dad told me that if my grandfather were still alive he would have adored me loads. He would have been so happy to finally have his granddaughter. I do imagine sometimes that my grandfather if he was alive then I would have been such a spoiled kid. 😄
To be honest, if we was alive I would not listen to anyone for real. We would be best friends, and I would share everything about my life to him instead of my dad.
However, I know that more than myself mt dad loved and respected his father. I know that he misses him very much but he doesn't say so. In bengali he often calls me "Baba" it means father and sometimes "ammu/ma" which means mom. But he never calls me by my name. In bengali it's a way of adoring the young children, it's a form of an affection. I love my dad the most so whoever has admiration for my dad and and respects my dad. So, as my grandfather loved my dad a lot, I feel like I have some sort of connection with my grandfather as well.
Maybe it is not the memories that I miss, because I have not had any, but maybe the memories that I could have had with him.
I think if my grandfather was alive we would be in a good state today. Maybe our family would have been much happier. My dad would have had his father and I would have had my grandfather.
So, if I could bring anyone I wanted back to life, I would bring my grandfather back for my dad and for myself, hehe. May be after death one day I will be able to finally be his little granddaughter. Hehe, I would have loved that. 😄
