Ang Chismis o Fake News kay Bb. Chin-Chin Gutierrez ay Sobrang Kalat na po

Alam mo bang merong mga Catholic FB pages mismo na nagkakalat ng fake news na naging madre na si Bb. Chin-Chin Gutierrez? Hindi ito nakakatuwa dahil ibig sabihin more on clout or views and reaction chasing na sila imbes na magpakalat ng katotohanan at tamang katesismo. Hindi man lang nila vine-verify ang pinagmulan o kung totoo nga ba bago nila ipakalat. Nakakalungkot pero wala eh, ganyan ang epekto ng chismis.

Ang pinakamalala, pati na rin ang EWTN Asia Pacific e inaprubahan ang isang artikulo na nagpapakitang naniwala sila sa maling balita at ipinakalat lalo nila ang fake news na yan! Ay grabe. Ganyan na po kalala ang sitwasyon ng mundo ngayon! Actually isang source nga lang pinagkunan ng nagsulat ng artikulo kaya ayun ang labas e parang nakiki-ride on lang sa trending topic.

Ang dating pagbabalita na kailangan muna may mga verified sources bago i-publish ngayon hindi na nagve-verify ng mga mapagkakatiwalaang source at basta na lang ikinakalat kung ano yung mga sabi-sabi. Nakakadismaya na pati mga dapat na pagkukunan mo ng pawang katotohanan e hindi palaging mapagkakatiwalaan. Hayayay...

Iba na talaga ang nagagawa ng katamaran ngayon. Kaya kung hindi po kayo marunong mag-isip ng tama kawawa na po talaga ang henerasyon ngayon at mga susunod pa. Sinu-sino ba ang mga Lay Consecrated?:

Paano ba masasabing ang isang tao ay nakonsagrang layko na? Siyempre di mo yun magagawa ng mag-isa mo lang. Kelangan mo sumali sa isang grupo para maging miyembro. Ang buhay ng tao ay hindi para gawin natin lahat na sarili lang natin. Lahat po tayo kailangan ang ibang tao.

So anyway eto na nga yung nalaman kong paraan para maging Consecrated Lay Person. Unang-una, ano muna ang estado mo sa buhay? May asawa ka ba o wala? Kasi yung iba hindi tumatanggap ng may asawa kaya kailangan maghanap po muna ng sasalihan. Ito po ay itinatanong dapat sa Diyos gaya ng pagtanong ng mga seminarista kung magpapari ba tlga sila or what. Kailangan sunod sa will ni Lord ang ating mga ginagawa, kung ano pinakamabuti para sa atin ang Panginoon lang ang nakakaalam kaya kelangan natin Siya tanungin palagi.

Hindi ito ora-orada member ka na agad after 1 or 3 meetings. No. Meron po itong kasamang discernment process atsaka levels kumbaga. Hindi ka tatagal kung di ka tlga meant for this life. Meron naman sobrang mag-e-enjoy kung ito tlga ang buhay na pinili ng Diyos para sa kanila. Basta ang alam ko, aabutin ka ng ilang taon bago ka maging perpetually professed member. 😆 Ganun yun!

Mga Konsagradong Birhen at mga Ermitanyo

Yes po, ang mga birhen ay pwede rin maipakasal sa Diyos na hindi nagiging madre, pati na ang pagiging ermitanyo. Obispo po mismo ang naggagawad ng kanilang estadong pinili upang maging Consecrated Lay Person.

3rd Order Members a.k.a. Secular Orders, Tertiaries or Lay associates

Sila yung mga kasali sa tinatawag na Public Associations ayon sa Canon Law ng Simbahang Katolika. Ito yung mga grupo ng mga laiko na nakakabit sa religious orders mismo tulad ng mga Dominikano, Pransiskano, Carmelites, Augustinians, etc.

Again, hindi po sila mga pari o madre, Consecrated Lay People po sila na sumusunod sa mga katuruan at gawain ng kanilang sinalihang orden. Kumbaga sa bawat tao may sariling pagkatao, ganyan din ang iba't-ibang orden may sarili silang ginagawa o misyon sa mundo.

Best example ng 3rd order member na kilala nating mga Pinoy ay si Bb. ChinChin Gutierrez na sumali sa mga Carmelites. Meron din pong mga santo na 3rd order members: Sta. Rosa ng Lima, San Bartolo Longo at San Pier Giorgio Frassati na sumali sa mga Dominicans tsaka si Sta. Catalina ng Genoa na sumali sa Franciscans, atbp.

The Gossip or Fake News about Ms. Chin-Chin Gutierrez is Everywhere

Did you know that there are even Catholic FB pages that are spreading fake news that Ms. Chin-Chin Gutierrez has become a nun? This is not funny because it means that they are more on clout or views and reaction chasing instead of spreading the truth and correct catechism. They don't even verify the source or if it is true before they spread it. It's sad but that's the reality, that's the effect of gossip.

The worst thing is, even EWTN Asia Pacific approved an article that shows that they believed the false news and even spread it! Oh, how terrible. That's how bad the situation in the world is now! Actually, the author of the article only used one source, so that's why it seems like they're just riding on the trending topic.

The old practice that news must have verified sources before publishing is not done meticulously anymore so people just spread so-called truths which are actually rumors. It's frustrating and such a source of dismay that even the supposed reputable media companies that should be sharing the truth are not always reliable. Ah humanity...

The level of laziness really is different nowadays. So if you don't know how to think right, then the current generation and the next ones will be really miserable. People who don't know how to think critically are usually lazy to verify sources. sigh This is actually a whole other topic for another day. 🤦‍♀️

Let's go back to the Consecrated Layperson discussion.

Who are the Lay Consecrated?

How can someone be a consecrated lay person? Of course you can't be like that on your own. You have to join a group to become a member. Humanity is not meant to live as if everything should be done by ourselves alone. We all need other people.

So anyway, here are the things I learned on how to become a Consecrated Lay Person. First of all, what is your state in life? Are you married or single? Some groups don't accept married people so you first have to determine which one to join. This should be asked of God like seminarians ask if they are really going to become priests or what. We need to follow the Lord's will in whatever we do. The Lord knows what is best for us so we need to always ask Him.

It's not like you're a member right away after 1 or 3 meetings. No. It involves a discernment process and levels, so to speak. You won't last long if you're not really meant for this life. Some people will enjoy it immensely if this is the life God has chosen for them. All I know is that it will take you a few years before you become a perpetually professed member. 😆 That's how it is!

Now, what types of groups are the ones we can join?

Consecrated Virgins and Hermits

Yes, virgins can also be married to God without becoming nuns/religious sisters, including becoming hermits. The bishop himself grants their chosen state to become a Consecrated Lay Person.

3rd Order Members a.k.a. Secular Orders, Tertiaries or Lay associates

They are those who are members of what are called Public Associations according to the Canon Law of the Catholic Church. These are the groups of lay people who are attached to religious orders themselves such as the Dominicans, Franciscans, Carmelites, Augustinians, etc.

Again, they are not priests or nuns, they are Consecrated Lay People who follow the teachings and practices of the order they joined. Just as each person has their own personality, so too does the different orders have their own work or mission in the world.

The best example of a 3rd order member that we Filipinos know is Ms. ChinChin Gutierrez who joined the Carmelites. There are also saints who are 3rd order members: St. Rose of Lima, St. Bartolo Longo and St. Pier Giorgio Frassati who joined the Dominicans and St. Catherine of Genoa who joined the Franciscans, etc.

Hey, I already mentioned above which one Ms. Gutierrez joined. 😁 She has become part of the Carmelites order as a Consecrated Layperson without companions. She is not part of a community either. And according to the former actress, her only vow is chastity.

But actually some people call her Sister even though she is not a nun. That is also acceptable. So don't get confused because even in other parish organizations, women are called that. We say bro and sis before anyone's name. 😆
