The week was long and tiring for Debra. TPS reports needed to be filed by the end of the week or she'd be in big trouble. She's been at the company for a mere year but it feels like a decade already. The owners of the firm are a decent bunch of people given the reputation the company has in the industry.
Middle management is another story. Debra wonders how these people that more or less run the show got where they are. Merit doesn't appear to be the answer. They love to not do their own work and download it onto her and her colleagues.
She'd really like to give them a piece of her mind one of these days but she knows that's not the best idea. Working long hours past her end of day is common while not being paid. This is a privilege and once you put in these hours you'll be rewarded they say.
The week is done and she has two whole days to relax and think of nothing but herself. The bliss washes over her face as she puts on her headphones and listens to the soothing sounds of rest and relaxation.
The rules are simple. Write for five minutes uninterrupted. If you're interested you can read all the details, I look forward to reading what you come up with in a simple 5 minutes. Have fun!
