Her first year was very decent as she made all her papers, and she was even considered to be the best amongst the first-year students in her level. Due to the fee recognitions she was feeling, she started to let it get into her head. At first, it was subtle, like refusing to attend some lectures, being rude to her fellow course mates, and so on. She eventually started feeling among with the elites in her class, and as a result of this, her grades started dropping as she spent more time going out than actually studying. She would post beautiful pictures online as all these kept increasing her fame, but drastically dropping her grade. She started getting so much attention from guys that everyone started calling her the hottest girl in school.
One evening, she decided to skip a lecture to attend a party she was invited to, and on her way to the party, she was involved in an accident. The accident was so bad that she disfigured her face, and her leg was broken. Luckily, the doctor was able to save her life, but the scars of the accident remained. The people whom she had thought were her closest friends started to leave her gradually as they saw her as a liability because they got tired of pushing her around in a wheelchair, and she was not so hot now.
Abigail was so depressed when she realized her reality and wept a lot. A few of her coursemates empathized with her and stood by her during this hard time. As the days went by, she was able to complete her physiotherapy and make good use of her legs, while for her face, she had to save up some funds, and some people even assisted her, as the face reconstruction surgery was quite expensive. Although she was no longer the most outstanding student, she was able to be amongst the best students for her graduating class.
