Hello people!
I'm pretty new on this platform (3 days old ) and so far I'm pretty excited as to what I've encountered in here. Steemit seems great with tons of potential and I'm very happy that I have joined this community, I couldn't imagine that I would find so many well written threads around here ( I guess I'm lucky :P ) and I really like the fact that this platform seems to enable people to communicate in a much more authentic way and it actually aims towards community building. It kinda reminds me of the early days of facebook in a way..
I'm learning tons of new things by the day and to be honest I'm a little confused by all the information that I have so far gathered.
One of the main question that I have regards the existence of bots in the network. I have noticed that in many posts, bots upvote and comment. I have also noticed some of the posts are created by bots.
So my main question is, why do bots exist in Steemit? Do bots exist for some specific reason or is it something else, what purpose do they serve? What do you think of bots around here and what's your experience with them?
I'd like to hear the stories of more experienced members regarding bots in the network, is there something that new members have to know regarding them? I don't have much of a technical background and sometimes it's hard for me to grasp these subjects.. Also if anyone has any links/resources to share regarding bots that clarify the subject please feel free to share, that would be really helpful :)
