Back for another day of the Charactober challenge over on the drawaday community. Today's prompt is the "berry picker," and I wanted to design someone who looks clever, and ready to track the best hidden path in the forest that leads to berry patch.
I decided to turn the prompt right into his cute wardrobe. I made my OC character an oversized red beret complete with a little stem detail so he literally resembles a ripe berry himself. I then paired that bold red hat with a wind swept green scarf, a purple shirt, and a brown basket strap slung over his shoulder. That sharp grin and mischievous side glance give him so much personality, like he just spotted the sweetest berries before anyone else could find them
Kept everything in my signature clean and flat design style. Ditching the outlines and sticking strictly to solid color blocks lets the playful geometry from his pointing finger to his sweeping scarf tell the whole story without clutter.
