Never To Be Forgotten

"We can call her Beach," Mark said jokingly as he gently rubbed Raya's baby bump.
"You can't be serious. Beach would have been a beautiful name but you know how challenging that would be, I don't want her bullied because of her name."
Hmmm! Mark sighed and reached for his bottle of beer.
"I wished to sip from that," Raya teased Mark as he gulped down almost half of the bottle at a go.
"Keep wishing, we had an agreement. No beers until my angel is here," he replied.
Raya chuckled and replied, "Our angel, not just yours"

Loosened nuts

Nine months into our tenure as senate council members, sometime around June 2016, when election campaigns heightened and the permutations of alliance and betrayal were at their peak, my beloved Dami revealed her interest in vying for the position for which I was soon to complete my tenure. Caucuses had been formed, and though we were two supposed lovers, we belonged to different political parties because of our different interests. I was torn between helping Dami, which meant I would be betraying my caucus, or supporting my caucus at the detriment of Dami's hopes and trust.

10 years ago in this same sea, I lost my Dad, my first love, my first boyfriend, and my first best friend. He meant the world to me; he was my hero, my sandcastle king, while I was his little princess. Every summer holiday, we went to our beach house and spent quality time together. I used to be so happy and filled with excitement whenever we went to the beach.

I used to love the ocean till it took Dad away from me, and I blame it—I blame mom, I blame dad's job, I blame the stupid summer holiday, and I blame myself because if I stayed where he told me to, if I had only listened, Dad would still be here.

The Colors of Wham Town

image.png

Pixabay

As far as the Sayans could remember, they had never seen anything of color. It was as though a gray screen had been drawn over the little town. What was more mysterious than the colors on old Mut carvings was the isolation of the town. They lived secluded and the town had never seen any visitors in over a hundred years. Their ancestors had passed myths about an era of color that flourished in the past. The colors had mysteriously vanished and given rise to the gray era they lived in right now. “The Golden era of color will return,” they had said.

Memories by the Beach

Beach Memories.' she fondly thought of.
One particular memory stood out.
She was ten years old, and her father brought her to the beach for her birthday.
"Daddy, are we going to find seashells today?" she asked curiously.
"No baby, we're going to find a treasure today." he answered with a smile.
Younger Helen's eyes lit up with excitement and childish glee; "Treasure Hunting!"

Theresa bringing out her proud witchly nature said in a calm but dangerous tone; You have known me since I was a baby, we have stuck together since the night our parents gave their lives to save us from the Necromancer at the graveyard, we have been fighting demons to keep the balance within realms since I was five and you were eight years of age, it's been thirteen years down the line, and all through these years you have known me, have I ever made a joke out of anything?

The Call I Wished I Never Received

You know what? For the very first time in my life, I forgot where I was." What happened to him?"I inquired. "He had an accident, he went to a football match organized by his high school for old students. On his way back home, their car had an accident and all of them in the car died," Zak replied.
