This very traditional italian pasta from Nepales is made up of just 5 ingredients and the two of them reflect in the name itself. "Aglio" means 'garlic" and "olio" means "oil".
do give it a try whenever you are too lazy like how I was today to cook up a storm and just want to binge on a bowl of warm pasta inside your cozy blanket watching Netflix.
The next shot I took has the same composition but a warmer edit from the first image. Usually I prefer slight warm edits to my shots but here in somehow I felt colour were more well balanced in the first one which is slightly less warm. What do you think ? .. Would definitely love to hear you
Here's what you'll need
Ingredients:
Spaghetti (300-500g)
2 red chillies (you can also use chilli flakes if you prefer)
A Bunch of fresh parsley
5-6 garlic cloves
Extra virgin olive oil
Rock salt
Pepper
Parmesan cheese
1 Liter water
Method:
Add approximately 1 litre of water to a pot and put it on the stove at a medium to high temperature.
Once the water has boiled enough, throw in a bit rock salt and mix it throughly.
add the pasta and cook it to the instructions on the packet of whatever brand of pasta you've bought (this is best served al dente).
Finely slice 5-6 cloves of garlic and chop them into small pieces.
Slice up both chillies and then cut these up into fine pieces.
Next chop a generous amount of parsley.
To prepare your pasta, use a large, deep frying pan on a very low heat and drizzle some olive oil over the top.
After it heats up (for about a minute or so), add in the chopped chilli.
Add some cracked pepper over the top and mix it well using a wooden spoon.
Leave this to cook for around 5 minutes and remember to stirring it. every now and then.
Keep an eye on the pan just to make sure the garlic doesn't burn as this will totally ruin the taste of the entire dish. Once it starts to brown, add a small drop or two of water but be careful.
Once the pasta has finished cooking throughly, strain it well and add it to the frying pan adding a little bit of boiling water as you go.
Mix all of this together really well using a pair of tongs and then swirl and toss all of the pasta around so that it gets mixed well and all of the ingredients which are at the bottom, come to the top and beautifully colour every single strands of the spaghetti.
Plating: Add it to your desired serving plate and then grate a generous serve of
parmesan cheese over the top (The more the merrier) along with an added drizzle of olive oil to tantalise your tastebuds!
