Daily Life Story: Buying Street Foods for Our Afternoon Snack
It's an ordinary afternoon for us, and we were lying in bed thinking of how we could spend the rest of the day. We felt like we needed a cup of coffee and thought of something to eat. Since we have no work schedule today, we have plenty of time to go to the public market and buy some street food. We rode our motorbike for about 15 minutes.
Upon arriving at the public market, we headed to the spot where different street foods are being sold. We saw a lot of choices, from fried lumpia, veggie balls, and kikiam. These are the usual Filipino street foods, and we ordered some of them too. We still looked for more, and we passed by a banana cue vendor. They also sell turon, soda drinks, and more.
Before going home, we stopped by a local restaurant to buy some llocos empanada, as this was the main dish we wanted to try. We were really craving some crunchy, tasty empanadas, which we think we deserve for working tirelessly this week. We bought some and waited for them to be cooked before heading back home to enjoy the food we'd made ourselves.
When we got home, we prepared everything on the table. We grabbed a cup of hot coffee to pair with our food. After getting everything ready, it was time to enjoy the feast. We started eating, and we definitely enjoyed every bite of the food we bought. The empanada was really delicious, especially when paired with its vinegar sauce. It was truly satisfying. The other street foods we bought also came with sweet and spicy sauces, which made them tastier. Overall, our taste buds were satisfied with everything we bought, and we will definitely buy them again.
So, that's it for today. Thank you so much for reading.
See you on our next blog. Sending good vibes to everyone!
