Tuesday is upon us again, it sure beats Monday in my book! Since it is Tuesday once more it can only mean one thing, another Three Tune Tuesday post, as you may have surmised from the header... I have been going through bands over the decades recently, starting back with the 1970's and today we are into the decade of 2010. What comes next week? I'm not sure yet, but enjoy some fun rock n' roll picks from the 2010's!

Now, before we get going, I want to say thank you to ablaze@ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. One lucky participant will win some HSBI units, you can't have too many of those! So if you don't already participate feel free to jump in, just use the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to ablaze@ablaze .

Volbeat

Formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2001, the band had moderate success and several lineup changes over the years. They really hit the mainstream in 2013 with the release of the album Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, which was all about characters from the American Wild West. And interesting choice for a band from Denmark, but it paid off big time. The first song I heard from them was this one and is one of my favorites, "Lola Montez". Dedicated to the real life Lola Montez, and Irish commoner who became a Countess in Bavaria. Forced to flee when the king was forced to abdicate his throne due to her influence and later became a dancer and entertainer in the old western US... Here's "Lola Montez":

Five Finger Death Punch

This Las Vegas band formed in 2005 and released their self produced debut album, The Way of the Fist, in 2007. It gained them some acclaim in the heavy metal world, but since then they have released nine more albums, but in 2015 released Got Your Six. It was one of their best selling albums with several hit songs such as "Jekyll and Hyde" and this one "Wash It All Away":

The Pretty Reckless

Formed in New York City in 2009 featuring Taylor Momsen, former actress turned rocker. For those who watched Jim Carrey's How The Grinch Stole Christmas back in 2000, she played Cindy Lou Who. She grew up and decided to pursue a career in rock n' roll. A smart move.

The band found commercial success with the release of their first album in 2010, but their sophomore effort, Going To Hell, really made them mainstream. One of the biggest songs off the album was: "Follow Me Down".

That will wrap up my Three Tune Tuesday post for this week. I do hope you enjoyed the rock n' roll picks, there were some fun ones this week. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and as always thank you for all of your support. It's deeply appreciated! Have a great week everyone!
