On #threetunestuesday, I reflect on the music I listened to growing up and the music I had access to. And when something reminds me of moments from my youth, I try to relive those memories through music.
Since I haven’t posted in a while, this entry will be a bit different. I'll share some bands I’ve been listening to frequently lately—on the radio. Yes, KEXP is a Seattle radio station that has been broadcasting since 1972.

For those of you who are not (yet) familiar with #threetunetuesday or #ttt, these are the tags you need to use when you post.
It's a music initiative started by @ablaze, and with his words, the gist is as follows:
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs that I like to listen to, and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the reward.

Continuing with KEXP, it’s widely regarded as one of the most influential non-commercial radio stations in the world, specializing in indie, alternative, rock, electronic, hip-hop, and world music. I first discovered it through the show “Live on KEXP,” which launched in 2001. Since 2010, when the show launched its YouTube channel, it has become a global phenomenon, now boasting millions of subscribers and billions of views. One reason for its success is its exceptional sound production; almost every major (and many up-and-coming) musician wants to perform in its studios.
Here are a few live performances on KEXP that I really enjoy. A typical performance lasts about 30 minutes; I hope it won't be too long for you—after all, I'm sharing this with fellow music lovers :)

They play psychedelic rock with strong influences from garage, post-punk, krautrock, funk, and new wave elements. Their sound has evolved significantly over the years—from surf/garage to heavy, chaotic psychedelic melodies and, more recently, industrial-tinged punk.
