Hello beautiful Motherhood community, a pleasure for me to write again here, today I want to make a kind of reflection on a topic that is rarely touched and that is about the development time of our children, their different stages and how we take advantage and enjoy each of those stages.
Sometimes as parents we are so busy in the day to day, the food, the welfare and the fact of providing what is necessary for our children that we waste the best stages of their lives and I see it this way in a very personal way.
Someone could tell me that all the stages of a child's life are beautiful, and it is true, but for me there are stages that can be used more, where you spend a lot of time with them, teach them and even enjoy their witticisms.
As time goes by, we realize that children also grow up, and that those stages of greater enjoyment are left behind, when we come to open our eyes we realize that our children are already teenagers or even adults and have other interests.
A very common phrase I hear from my mom and some friends is: I almost didn't enjoy my children, or time went by very fast, and it is so painful and sad at the same time, because sometimes parents don't realize that time goes by and doesn't go back.
It seems unbelievable, but one of the most beautiful stages of our children is when they go to daycare, from two to five years old, and in most cases because of our occupations we pay a caregiver or we take them to a daycare center, sometimes I think that they are the caregivers who enjoy the best stages of our children's development.
It is sad when a child says his first word, learns to walk and as a parent we can not witness it, but we have to settle for what they tell us, and sometimes these situations are out of our hands and more in a country where mom and dad have to work to half cover the needs of their children.
There are very beautiful ages in which children learn to say I love you, to give hugs, kisses and imitate us in everything, there are other stages in which they are ashamed to hold your hand or they think they are too old for their parents to be watching them at school.
Currently, my son is fifteen years old and from my point of view he is in a stage of independence, he already goes out alone to do his own things and enjoys spending time with his friends, for example my mother had a hard time understanding this stage of my son's development.
I remember one day she got angry and told my son that he didn't love her anymore because he didn't spend the same amount of time with her, she also insinuated that he loved his friends more. My mother is expecting my son to continue being the child who only plays and watches TV at home and does not understand that this stage is over and that he is in another stage of his life.
Children grow up and do not belong to us, we know that we love them very much and maybe we think that they will be there forever, but that is a misconceived idea, especially nowadays, because we know that children are gradually separating from us until one day they leave completely on their own way, with their own family and it is that before children got married and stayed living in the same city or state, where it was easy to visit them, but nowadays they even leave the country.
I have several friends who have years without seeing their children who are in other countries, one of them took it in the best way and continued with his life, but others fell into depression and are even on medication, there are families who have their children with the idea that they will be there for the rest of their life or old age and today we see that this reality is changing a lot.
I have a relative who when her daughter was born was very happy because she said that she already had someone to take care of her in her old age and a month ago, her daughter left the country, with only twenty years of age, this news was very bad for her, today she only cries for her daughter, and mourns for her departure.
We must understand that children are borrowed, they do not belong to us and of course there are cases of cases, there are children who will be under our care for the rest of their lives, but due to special conditions, the law of life, so to speak, is that they also have their own home, separate from us.
That is why we must make the most of the stages of our children, each one of them and especially those stages in which they are in our complete care, always knowing and recognizing that our children are on loan and that someday they will no longer be by our side.
These days I was listening to a very realistic speech addressed to families, where it was said that spouses should take time to love and understand each other, because in the future the children will always make their own life and the two of them will be left alone again, I think this is something we should reflect on.
