Further to my previous post, today I would like to present to you another interesting place in Pichit province, “Wang Krod''.
It is a nice old market community of Pichit province and it used to be Pichit province’s important trading center in the past.
The market was formerly known as "Ban Wang Klom" and was changed to "Wang Krod" after the name of the train station.
Wang Krod market community is located along the Nan River.
There are many places to walk in the Wang Krod market community, such as….
train station….
It’s a nice ancient train station. The station building was built with wood.
It is one of the ten most beautiful train stations in Thailand.
The clock tower….
It acts as the center of the area. It is decorated well and looks outstanding.
Wang Krod community’s ancient houses….
Their ancient wooden houses look nice and have impressive architecture.
The community area is peaceful and has a quiet atmosphere. The local people have a very simple way of life.
Wang Krom Shrine….
Most people in the Wang Krod market community are Chinese-Thai. The "Wang Klom Shrine" is therefore a sacred place that is the center of the people’s mind. Many people visit there to ask for blessings.
The shrine has magnificent Chinese architecture and fascinating decorations.
The statue of the dragon next to the shrine looks majestic and awesome with the wonderful river view in the background.
Wang Krod market community is the place that should not be missed indeed.
