Whenever I visit temples, I especially love to admire sculptures which act as expressions of religious beliefs.
There are many sculptures in Wat Sanam Nue which are very impressive. Some sculptures were created to support the faith of the religious.
These sculptures I would like to show you today are called Kinnari, in the Thai language, which are believed to be animals in Buddhist stories. They are on the top of the light poles in this temple. When looking up at these Kinnari, it seems like they are flying in the sky with the wonderful white clouds. Their golden bodies contrast beautifully with the bright blue color of the sky.
The sculptures of Nagas on the roof of the building are also attractive.
Some of the architecture in this temple also impressed me. When taking their photos with the bright blue sky in the background, they look much more fascinating.
I really love them all!
