Who am I?
In the first part of my introductory post, I gave very little about myself away, but on second thoughts, hive is looking like a safe space, hence I'm willing to be more open about myself.
So, my real name is Omozogie Collins, a 4th year student of the University of Benin, ugbowo, Edo state, Nigeria. I'm majoring I'm Aquaculture and Fisheries Management. I don't know how it is in other countries, but in Nigeria, any agriculture-related course of study is classified as a professional course, hence requires at least five years of study.
I'm currently undergoing industrial training which is a non-negotiable requirement to earn a bachelor's degree in Nigeria. I'm a Christian by religion (although most people who know me would argue otherwise 馃槀馃槀). I hail from Edo state as well.
Wasted me, after a long day at the industrial training site馃槀馃槀
Interests
I have a number of interest, sometimes they can seem conflicting. I'm quite passionate about some certain topics as well. I'm quite interested in politics, religion, judgement (fairness and equality), football, education, international relations and of course writing.
I have a number of hobbies ranging from playing music, football, writing, reading, to wild imaginations, observing people, as well as solving arithmetic problems.
**Why Am I Here? **
Like I said in the first part, my coming here was sort of forced by my need to participate in a contest, which interestingly, I never did participate in. But having spent time here, I've come to see that this place as what it is.
A place where I can write to earn, but more important than earning, a place where I can network, meet new people, and learn a lot. In the few days I've been here, I've been learning about the workings of the platform. This is because I intend to positively contribute to the development of the hive platform and the Dapps hosted on it.
**What Are My Chances For Success? **
I can't really say. In the first part, I wrote about how I spent a long time looking for a legit way to earn online, but couldn't find any, but what I didn't tell you was that I heard about hive quite a while back. I was also made to believe that it's really hard to make it here.
That's one of the reasons I never thought to come onboard. I have decided to do my best and give it my all and with the support of other hivers which I've seen to be there in these few days, I know I will do well here on hive, hopefully.
I would love to use this opportunity to thanks #ecency for the free account creation and @lovesniper for the intro post curation reward initiative. That's some really great work as it helps to give newbies a great amount of support and exposure. Plenty thanks to #OCD for the initiative.
