It would really interest you to know that my coming to hive was something of a compulsion than of will. I know that sounds a bit cryptic, let me explain.

First of, I'm a student and it's been a long time since I've been looking for ways to earn money online. My continual research had yielded some very unfortunate result that involves me losing the little money I had. Having being burned a few times, I totally gave up on trying to earn online, although I still kept trying to register on steemit to no avail.

After a few years of not even trying, I came upon an opportunity few months to the end of last year. I was introduced by a friend to a platform called read.cash. Just like here, it's a platform where you write and earn reward in crypto, specifically Bitcoincash (although you can withdraw in any cryptocurrency of your choice).

While writing on that platform, I encountered a number of articles talking about hive in bits. I also met some authors on the platform whom also had accounts on hive. But this isn't why I came on hive.

The actual reason I came on hive is a certain contest that was organised by jaxsonmurph@jaxsonmurph. Since I needed to post and tag a certain community on hive. Interestingly, I'm yet to participate in the contest, very funny right馃槀?

After a few days of creating my account, I just started thinking, since I already had it courtesy of ecency, why not just continue with it? I posted my first article, only to come back days later to find that it hadn't gotten more than five views. I was disappointed and decided to start learning about the ins and out of hive.

So, I've been reading articles by some wonderful authors such as castleberry@castleberry, that teaches how to navigate hive and quite frankly, I still don't think I know anything yet. The more I read, the less it seem I understand, I guess I have to keep trying.

Somehow I feel it's not going to be easy, but I've got a few friends here victorbch@victorbch, princessbusayo@princessbusayo, mrenglish@mrenglish, jessicaossom@jessicaossom, and I'm sure with their support and the support of other hivers, I'll be able to find my way around.

I love writing and I can't really pick a niche. I'm mostly a freewriter, although I frequently write well researched articles about certain topics like cryptocurrencies, politics, human behavior and the likes.

The little I know of hive is enough for me to know that it's designed in such a way that only those who actually contribute to the development are rewarded and I hope to help it's development and growth in any way I can as opportunities present themselves.

It is while I was studying that I learnt it's important I introduce myself, hence my writing this post. I probably won't be writing for the next few days as I'm going to dedicate those to interacting and studying about the workings as well as rules (written and unwritten) of hive. Hopefully I won't regret my time here.
