God is merciful and compassionate to those who are going on the wrong direction which are committing sin. He does not desire the destruction of people but calls them to turn away from their sinful ways and seek Him. God always give chance to those who are sinners to change their way and come back to him. His patience is therefore an expression of His mercy, not an approval of sin.
Those who sin should know that on the last day God will judge them according to the kind of life they lived on earth. Sin can bring suffering, broken relationships, loss, and other harmful consequences. God allows people to make choices, and those choices can have serious results. His protection does not mean that a person can continue deliberately in sin without consequences.
Even though God protects sinners, it does not give us the effottery to continue to sin everyday. God's greatest protection is to lead people away from sin and toward a righteous relationship with Him. Instead of depending on God's patience while continuing in wrongdoing, sinners should use the opportunity given to them to repent, change their ways, and live according to God's will.
