Hello! Posting before I hit the sack as I'm waiting for my phone to get fully charged and for my hair to dry.
Today, is quite a tiring day because I went out to purchase the ingredients for the foods I'm making for All Saint's Day. I planned to go early morning but I felt too lazy and only was able to go around lunch time. Weather was very warm which felt irritating, also adding up to the irritating feeling of my allergy.
The prices of vegetables right now is crazy. The small cabbage costs around Php80 to 100 and even the few pieces of green peas is priced around Php50 to 90. I should just make spaghetti instead! Lol.
Anyway, I haven't taken a photo of the vegetables at the grocery but while at the cashier, I saw the bakery from afar. I felt hungry and craved for a bread. After standing in front of the bakery for maybe like 2 minutes (because I can't decide which to purchase), I finally decided which to get.
Fried Mantou!
The name sounds interesting and the buns looked appetizing so I wanted to try it. The fried mantou is a fried Chinese steamed buns. Buns? You may think it tastes boring. But I'm here to tell that it's not! The fried mantou is soft and almost felt like a sesame ball or carioca. It also tastes good.
Apparently, the sauce that comes with it is just condensed milk. However, it complements well with the fried mantou. It's good!
And here I also bought spicy skinless peanuts. I passed by the seller while I was walking towards a convenience store and bought some before going home. It's so good!
The lettuce was surprisingly cheap since early this month, so I bought a pack and ate some of it along with my dinner a while ago. I was thinking of adding mayo as its dressing but it could be bad for my allergy. I opted for some sesame oil, vinegar and ground black pepper instead. I'm not sure if there's such combination for salads. Lol. It tasted okay anyway.
Also, I slept a bit late yesterday because I cleaned my rusty kalimba. As you can see on the photo above, rust is starting to build on the tines of the kalimba. I have to stop it from rusting further so I tried what I can to remove the rust. Well, I think I was able to remove it but the underside of the tines was left uncleaned. I'm too lazy and scared to remove each tine, because what if I won't be able to arrange it back as it was before?
Cleaning the top is already good for me now. I'm glad I was able to remove the rust but some left some marks which I think would be difficult to remove. Anyway, I'm happy now that it looks clean again!
Earlier that day, I was craving noodles (chilimansi) and boiled eggs. I'm glad I was able to make one soft boiled egg. I like soft boiled eggs when eating noodles. I also made coffee to pair with the noodles.
Mmmm! Cravings satisfied!
I'm also now prepared for All Saints' Day. I can now take a rest for the next two days!
Take care and have a good day!
