Happy Halloween!

But not for me. My allergies worsen today and I'm not sure if it's due to the medicine I'm taking.

Yesterday morning, my brother went home to fix and install some parts on our car, and our father asked him to purchase some medicine for me. I'm already taking antihistamine and finally got the meds for thinning mucus, because allergic rhinitis thickens the mucus and sticks on the throat which is very uncomfortable and irritating.

It's already midnight here and I'm sleepy as heck, but this sticky phlegm makes it difficult for me to sleep. I tried to take a nap earlier but I kept waking up because of the choking feeling. I just hope I don't choke in my own phlegm and die. Lol. Anyways, my only wish right now is to get over this allergy before my meds run out.

Also yesterday morning, I began making the Maja Blanca for All Saints' Day. My mama always make this delicacy during this occasion, so I'm continuing the tradition now that she's in heaven. On the video tutorial of the recipe I followed, it says that it only takes 15 minutes for the Maja Blanca to solidify, but mine was already in the fridge for around half a day but it's still mushy and soft. Perhaps it has to do with the temperature?

I also cut the chicken for the chicken gochujang I'm making later to lessen the steps I have to do. The slices of chicken meat I bought were big! Yipee!

Chopping vegetables also takes time and energy. I decided to prepare them ahead of time as well. Vegetables were pricy the last time I went to the grocery so I opted out the green peas. Lol. I also cut the chicken breast fillet so it's easier to cook it and shred after.

That's all for my quick update! Have a nice day and may you heal and recover from sickness if you're going through it now.
