Last weekend we hiked up Ensign Peak above Salt Lake City, Utah. We arrived just in time for sunset. You can see the Great Salt Lake near the horizon.
The hike is a little less than a mile and accends 374 ft. There is a good view of the Wasatch mountains as you make the hike.
The view of Salt Lake City is nice from the top. You can see the state capital building, the Mormon church headquarters, and also the Mormon Tabernacle.
A pano goes all the way from the Wasatch mountains on the left, past downtown and to the Great Salt Lake on the right.
