Lovely pink flowering tree to start off my #wednesdaywalk.
Spring looks great on these trees along a driveway.
I started my walk down this gravel road. The pink blooms just arrived this week. New spring color and new spring blooms always #makemesmile.
Daffodils are still coming up and looking good.
Next I walked allow this small creek. It is trying to drain a field but the field is still pretty soggy.
The splashes of yellow along the creek are Marsh Marigolds - Caltha palustris.
They are a member of the buttercup family sometimes called kingcup or cowslip.
Here is a wonderful old tree, full of character and also sporting a newly pecked out hole from the local woodpeckers.
Some old blossoms are still hanging on from last summer.
There are also lots of willows along the creek and in the marshy area.
Some of the willow blossoms are all the way opened up.
Finally I got back on the road and made it to the lake that is always at the end of my morning walk route.
A little bit cloudy and overcast but always a wonderful day to get out for a walk 馃檪
