My exercise journey is on schedule. I've been doing it daily. So proud of myself. But there are days where I just don't want to do it! You feel tired. Your body may be sore. Your motivation is not really there. Just days wherein you feel " blaah" and exercise looms as a major challenge to accomplish. These are the days that can lead you off track. These times require you to bolster your resolve and really stick to your goals. Quite frankly, you've got to just do it. Remember, doing unpleasant things lead to desired results. If you keep doing only those task that are pleasant and easy and fun, you'll find you don't get the results you set out to accomplish.
Exercise is one of those task. It's not really the most pleasant thing to do while you are doing it but if feels good after your done. How many times have I dreaded to begin the exercise but I must say at the end of the exercise, I'm so happy I did it. You feel good and you have sense of accomplishment. The more you do this , the stronger will be your resolve and commitment to hitting your goals. The sacrifice and "pain" makes you strong and mentally tough. It's harder to quit when you reach this level. You've put out too much effort. You say yourself, "What the heck might as well do it""
This will be my challenge daily as 2018 rolls out. It is a journey, a journey of change. Change is not easy but it is either you are growing or you are dying. We must continue to grow and strive to be better. Reach out and stretch to maximize your potential. As humans, we are given this gift of choice. Raise your standards in all things that you do. Don't accept mediocrity to creep in. A man's greatest victory is when he is on the floor tired and exhausted. When he has no more energy left. If you look closely , you will see a smile on his face. That smile is one of victory. He has given everything. Put it all on the line. That he gave it everything he had and is contented in his effort to accomplish the goal. This is all you can do. Demand maximum effort from yourself knowing this is the victory itself.
