As humans, we pass through several phases in life but some experiences at some phases in life never leave us.
Also some phase in our life cannot be forgotten easily because they hold in them memories that forges our life.
For me, my days as an undergraduate remain valuable and I can't trade the experiences I gathered for anything.
Permit me to share with you one of the experience I had as an undergraduate.
After I had a major setback in my 200Level(I shared that on my timeline sometime ago) , I resolved to study daily, irrespective of how I feel at any time. I decided to have academic time everyday and commit a particular period of time to studying in other to meet a goal is set for myself.
On returning from a long meeting on day, i laid helplessly on my bed and I was about to sleep with my outing wear on(I was that tired).
Ghen Ghen!!! I told myself, Stella are you about to sleep without studying?
I looked through the papers I posted on my wall and how much I demanded from myself that semester, so I grugily stood up, manage to shower to regain my strength and pulled out that massive Prescott Microbiology to study.
I had only flipped few pages before my bed started calling, I manage to get somethings into my head then I retired for my bed.
The following morning, we had 7am lecture, Food microbiology and I decided to go for the class. Midway the lecture, the lecturer popped up a question and for 10minutes no one could answer it. It was a strange question, I must tell you.
I annoyingly raised up my hand to answer the question (I rarely do this unless in extreme cases), I answered correctly and you needed to see the face of the lecturer.
Lecture was over and the over sabi Stella was on her way home and a lady came to her and ask "Stella, how do you study"
I managed to answer her and before I made another step, another lady approached me with a textbook to expound on something she was finding difficult to understand.
That day, I was tagged "A HEROINE "
Guess what? Little did my colleagues knew that, I only found the answer to that question the night before. If the lecturer had asked that question a day before, I would have been as clueless as everyone in the classroom.
Now here is my point :
Success happens when PREPARATION meets OPPORTUNITY.
LACK OF PREPARATION shouldn't abort GOD'S FAVOUR when it eventually comes.
SELF DISCIPLINE can prevent LIFE OF REGRETS.
Commit to getting better everyday!!!
Cheers to your Success...
Live Intentionally!!!
Live Purposefully!!!
Live Powerfully!!!
I still remain ,Stella Iwuajoku
