I just finished a 5.272km running that lasted about 0hh:25mm:36ss !

I decided to head to Bedford this week. My parents live by the park so I could combine it with a visit. It was distinctly chilly with the car showing 2C all the way there. The finish area by the bandstand was a bit wet. I think water from this week's rain was running down the hill. Bedford is a very popular run and there were over 600 running. It gets very busy at the start, but soon strings out. Those 2.5 laps seem a lot longer than 5km, but it is a nice place to run. It is hard paths all the way, but with the frost I felt my feet slipping a bit in places. This will have cost me a little time. There is a slight hill that you have to climb three times.

There was quite a queue at the finish. I had not been monitoring my progress. 25:35 is not a bad time but still not quite my target.

This was the first time I have seen a wheelchair racer. He looked quite young and I know he finished before me.

I went to my parents for a shower and some breakfast. Later we went into town. Although I visit them quite often I had not been into the centre for some years. There were quite a few changes in the shops and there is a new cinema. We had lunch at the rowing club followed by a walk in the sunshine. There have been otters seen around there and my dad may have spotted one diving.

I racked up quite a few steps today, but it was a good one.
