I just finished a 6.053km running that lasted about 0hh:33mm:43ss !
This is part of my new running routine where I aim to get in two lunchtime runs each week instead of just one. We shall see how that goes. The weather is a bit iffy this week, but it was okay for my run. I decided to explore some different routes. A friend had mentioned a wood in the south of Stevenage. I followed one of the smaller roads to get these to avoid some of the traffic. I did cut through the parking area of a retail park which I would avoid next time. I do not want to be looking out for cars all the time.
The wood is quite extensive, but there was hardly anyone around. There is a maze of paths through it, but I just followed one that went generally northwards. It was a bit muddy in places and had obviously been used by cyclists. Lots of squirrels around there.
I had decided to go for a fairly quick pace and managed to maintain that most of the time even whilst dodging the mud. I managed not to trip over the roots. I shall be returning to explore some more.
My listening was Talk Python To Me and In Our Time.
I have already covered 36km in the first week of this year. I doubt I will maintain that over the year.
I tried to sync Strava to @exhaust to get this run loaded, but it was not found and so I just imported the GPX file. I have been checking out the Strava 'segments' where people designate a stretch to compare times, but I do not expect to be KOM (King of the mountain) on many of those. I see some people accidentally logged them in their cars, so there are some crazy times. It is all just a bit of fun.
