After nearly 400 battles you would think I would have this game sussed out, but there is always something to surprise you. For some time I have repeatedly come up against people using the Life splinter with Silvershield Paladin up front and Divine Healer behind him along with other cards all at Level 3. These can be hard to beat at they are well armoured and the Paladin's shield makes him hard to damage. Then I saw this post by @bscrypto that explained how you could beat them with only Level 1 cards. Basically you need Lord Arianthus. He cannot attack, but he is shielded against regular and magic attacks. As the Paladin and Healer only have attack of 1 they can do him no damage. You still need a healer as others may be able to wound him and then some magic or attack 2 cards to deal with the enemies. You can see this in action in my latest battle. I do have Level 2 and 3 cards which make it a little easier. I am grateful to @revisesociology who gave me the Lord Arianthus card. I just did not think he was worth using before, although I saw @slobberchops use him to good effect at a higher level.

So I got back to Silver II and did the daily quest with Water to get these cards. Not had the Manticore before.

I got some additional cards as I won a pack in a @helpie competition. This is what I got. Only Swamp Thing is new to me and I need to work out how to use him.

If you have more cards than you know what to do with then you can get a nice vote from @jrvacation by 'burning' them, i.e. send them to the @null account. I do not have enough that I do not use.

I know a lot of people are now playing @DrugWars, but I enjoy @SteemMonsters more and am not that worried about earning from the games. I would like to achieve Gold this season, but I will see how it goes as I am not going to do much more than the daily quests.
