Over the last couple of years I've been making a little podcast about playing guitar. There are various shows that talk about all the gear you can buy, but I wanted to concentrate on how and why we play. I will include some gear reviews too if people want to do them.
I'm looking for segments up to around 10 minutes that can be on any topic around making music with guitar. Could even be about singing as many of us do that too. It could be about why you started playing, who inspires you, your practice routine or demonstrating a technique, assuming that's viable with just audio. I've had a few segments from a friend in Australia and one of the guys at my pub session contributed some tracks.
I'm also interested in music to include. I like to have at least a couple of songs per show, so if you have recorded something and there's no licencing issues then I'll try to use it. I think we can get away with cover versions as the show is not commercial and below the radar of the music industry. If it gets really big then I may have to look into that further.
It may be possible to co-host the show via Skype or other means, but that may depend on timezones. I'm in the UK.
The show is currently on Podomatic and I put the latest episodes on Soundcloud. I'm just using the free accounts on those for now. I ought to look at getting it on Apple iTunes too.
I'm not looking to go commercial with this show, but I guess it's semi-professional as I've made a few bucks from posting episodes on Steemit. The only reward I can offer is a share of that income.
If you are interested in being part of this then leave a comment here or you can reach me on steevc at Gmail.com. It's probably best to talk to me before recording your piece, but I'm really open to anything. I don't have a fixed schedule for the show, but would like to aim for at least one each month. It really depends on my available free time.
