You might guess that we are Ikea fans in our house. We have a lot of their furniture as it's good value and practical. When I was fitting out my study I went for their Billy shelves that apparently number around 60 million around the world. The BBC has the story of these popular products that have been around since 1978. Ikea dates back to 1943 and their billionaire founder keeps saving money by taking economy flights. The factory where Billy is made got their first Ikea order in 1952 and now churn one out ever 3 seconds.
My real favourite Ikea product is the Jerker desk. They stopped making these some years ago, but fans keep the memory alive. I just found that people are designing 3d printed accessories. I could use the headphone hanger.
I like Ikea so much that I wrote a song about it.
