On Wednesday I was at The Cricketers in Ickleford for our weekly jam session. I am fortunate that one of the guys is not drinking so I get a lift there. I buy him a coke. They usually have a guest beer and this time it was Cragg Bitter by Little Valley Brewery in Yorkshire. There are so many small breweries around the UK. A lot of people drink the mass-produced lagers and beers, but they are missing out. As you can see it was not an expensive pint. I expect you could pay £3 for a half in some places in London.
This was a tasty beer that was distinctly malty. It has a good head. The glass is from the pub's own beer festival, which I missed.
It was a good session. Last week there were about 15 of us, which made it crowded and it took ages to get around the circle, but I think it was 9 this time and a little more manageable. There is plenty of joining in. Some people tend to play the same songs most week, so we know those. I like to mix it up and tried a couple I had not done in a while to see if I could remember them (I almost did). I am trying to get back into learning more new songs and this time it was some Supergrass.
I had a nice surprise this morning to see that Steem has gone up again after dropping. Maybe word from Tron has inspired confidence. It is not so good for me wanting to buy some more for SPUD tomorrow. I may have missed that boat.
