Lola and I went on a lovely walk to the beach today. Don't worry, we live in a remote location and it's very easy to stay away from others.
Something caught my eye on the shore line so I had to take a closer look.
This is apparently a Sea Mouse (Scientific name: Aphrodita aculeata), something I've never seen or heard of before. They're described as being quite unlike anything else you see in the sea. I'll have to take their word for it as I tend to note poke about in the depths too much. They're a member of the worm family and active predators eating small crabs and alike.
It was a fairly lovely walk and quite warm away from the beach; there was a cold nip to the breeze nearer the shore and my hands got quite cold. It looked a little threatening looking south...
...but you could have imagined being in much warmer climates when looking north.
