The ground has been screaming for a good soaking for a few weeks but the weather just hasn't delivered. Quite off for a British summer! We had a really wet spring then a few reasonably dry and warm few weeks. It is just starting to brown the lawn and the plants are starting to suffer.
London had a good soaking over the weekend which caused serious flooding but it remained good here. We've had storm weather warnings here on the East coast for a few days now to nothing materialised until this evening. Sod's law it passed to the north of us though leaving just a few showers.
The cloud formations were wonderful and I was amazed at how quickly they tumbled and changed. The attached were taken over just 5 mins or so (possibly less).
A slightly distorted panorama. I made a brief attempt at trying to fix the geometry but then decided some things just aren't meant to be messed with.
It's just starting to rumble and rain again so there might be more to follow later.
