Stalker Anomaly gameplay 01-18

Walking over boards in this swamp to avoid radiation exposure, I head towards a marker for a mission and I get around wild beasts along the way. Though my target happens to be a pretty tough one, a mutated boar from the looks of it. Many of the factions will have missions for you to complete, like collecting items, killing people or mutants. Sometimes they can be pretty tough but tend to pay well. Starting off you dont have very good weapons and armor so it can be quite the challenge.

This area feels like the largest map of the game that I encounter between loading screens. Its hard to truly know how large it is, as seeing past the tall grass is impossible in many areas.

I start to close in on the hog mutant, and see a rock I can use for cover jumping up on it.

My map shows me the exact location, though its hard to see them before they see us.

An attack helicopter was flying over high overhead, not going after the beast I am looking for but shooting at something else.

Strangely I could not find this beast, not sure if the game glitched or what. Saw it at one point and then never again. So I had to leave the area without the mission goal. Returning back to the ecologist base I see if there are more missions to do.

I found a box marked with radiation symbols but could not open it.

My next monster killing mission is to go after some mutant dogs.

These dogs have powerful mind altering powers and can send ghosts after you.

They really kick my ass, and I have to reload a dozen or so times before I can get enough kills and find the tracker.

The tried and true hiding up on a rock worked pretty well until they started lunging at me.

I quick save once I get a kill, but theres more than one.. Being a pack of dogs they can really kick my ass.

Though after some time quick loading and such I got the kills and returned back to the base for my reward.

Finding a stash I went to check it out. I fast traveled and that was a mistake, trapped in an area with a bunch of radiation.

Not sure what the point of this stash was, it was empty and deadly. Maybe a trick by the Anomaly devs... idk

Radiation was present and so was an anomaly, I walked into it and got fried.

Life can be rough for stalkers, mine has met its end many times now.
