Deadman appeared as a hologram to reveal that Australia survived the Death Stranding and might need network connection next. Soon after, a massive BT emerged outside, triggering an emergency. I quickly fabricated extra blood grenades before heading out to fight the giant creature only to get swallowed twice.
While Sam was sleeping, Deadman came to talk to him, and I was hoping it was just inside Sam's dream. But no, it was reality, though Deadman was appearing only in a chiral gram, Sam tried to hug him, but he couldn't.
So, this room was actually originally a geophysics laboratory established for the study of earthquakes. For that reason, it holds a wealth of documentation on earthquakes, tar currents, and other things.
I could see bodies around as well.
So after he came to this place, now he was trying to teach something about the relativity of the place, mentioning that the researchers here were trying to establish contact with the rest of the world.
And he was using baby toys or baby equipment to explain all these things. Like he was using a baby feeder as a satellite, and he was using a toy duck to talk about ships.
So, not far from the lab, they discovered a strange anomaly. The surrounding area was heavily contaminated with chiralium, and I guess that was the main focus point Deadman was trying to tell Sam.
The researchers would later discover that the world outside North and Central America had survived. This was not the last bastion of humanity, as Australia had suffered the Death Stranding too.
However, Australia is not currently connected to the chiral network, but they were determined to connect Australia next. And Deadman wanted to pause it here as he needed to go for a shower.
Just then, a giant BT was detected outside. Alex mentioned they're preparing weapons for me right away, so I needed to access the terminal to fabricate equipment and take care of the BT.
I executed a prompt return to the surface to face the looming danger. I activated the terminal and initiated the fabrication process, and although I already carried a supply of blood grenades, blood bags, and assault rifles, I manufactured additional blood grenades to ensure my survival against the threat.
Once I finished the preparations, I headed straight outside. I could see the path ahead was visibly corrupted, dominated by a massive BT head that looked exactly like a colossal statue.
After a moment, the creature took the shape of a skull before dividing into an even more twisted form.
The creature's immense gravitational force violently pulled Sam toward the center of the tar. The sheer scale of the encounter caught me completely off guard during what was supposed to be a routine warm-up.
While I attempted to equip a grenade, the BT launched a swift attack and completely swallowed Sam in the tar. This immediately triggered a catastrophic voidout, resulting in a total failure of the objective.
I reloaded the latest saved data to attempt the encounter again. Upon returning to the battlefield, I threw a grenade immediately. I made a second attempt, but the BT delivered another violent strike before my weapon could take full effect.
Though the creature didn't swallow Sam right away, it ultimately breached my defenses once more. The creature triggered a second voidout, forcing me to reload the save game again.
