After receiving advice from the strange creature, I rested at a hidden meditation point to claim a spark upgrade. I then sought out trouble, where I defeated a beast guarding a chest with stone spirits and used my immobilize skill to quickly drop a wolf before gathering "glowing will" for future upgrades.
The horse-faced creature was only shown up to offer me some advice, but I decided to search the area for useful items before leaving. I found a small shrine nearby, though it contained nothing for me to gather.
While I understood that the creature was trying to help, I saw no sign of the bear he had warned me about. Just as I prepared to move on, I spotted a meditation point that I almost overlooked entirely.
I sat down to meditate, hoping it might grant new abilities. Whether it unlocked new powers or not, I found myself enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the scene, complete with scenic views and soothing background noise.
Once the session concluded, I received a spark to upgrade my abilities. With the brief rest over, it was time to step back out and look for trouble, as seeking out fights was my main goal.
It did not take long to find someone waiting for a battle. I deliberately let the creature land the first strike, knowing it might not get another chance.
The creature managed to hit me a second time, dealing a bit more damage than expected, before I cut down the tiny beast that had been guarding a treasure chest. Inside, I looted several stone spirits alongside some extra will.
Ahead in the distance, I spotted a wild wolf and saved my immobilize ability for the encounter, expecting a tough fight. I cast the spell to stun the beast in place, only to realize it posed no real challenge at all. I dispatched the immobilized target in a matter of seconds.
Resuming my trek, I caught sight of a glowing object tucked away in the terrain. Rather than passing it by, I walked over to collect the item, and secured some extra will to save for future equipment upgrades.
