Here today, gone today. That is what happened. Uncle and Aunty got into the car with Daddy and a few hours later, Daddy came home alone. I just hope they went peacefully to a better place, maybe a farm somewhere.
I asked Daddy where they were when he walked in side and all he said was, "They have gone home, you will see them soon".
'Soon' is one of those words that is relative depending on circumstance and personality. For some, soon means minutes, for others, years. You can see it here at Steem as people keep saying that soon, Steem will have a community of people who care for the future and, price will climb accordingly. Soon to some is a few years and for others, a few weeks as they soon lose their motivation and leave. Soon, they will be regretting their evaluation of soon.
But, in regard to seeing Uncle and Aunty, soon is likely a few years at least and that means I am going to be quite different when they see me again. Hopefully, my hair is a little longer and thicker so Aunty can do it up all pretty. She is good at making hair pretty. But, that soon can't come soon enough for me.
When Daddy walked in alone, I knew it was going to be a while before I see them again and, I blamed him. I have been ignoring him for a few hours now but, it isn't easy. He keeps hugging me like normal and sometimes I forget I am ignoring him, and hug him back. I know it isn't his fault they went home but, who else can I blame?
Perhaps next time I see them I will be able to visit their home as I think it would be nice to get to have a look at where Daddy comes from. I heard lots of stories over the last week and I look forward to patting some spiders and crocodiles. I have learned a lot of phrases too so, I should blend in like a local well enough.
I am coming to terms with them not being here but I am pretty sure it is going to be a while until I stop asking for them when I wake up from sleeps. Soon is relative, they are relatives so perhaps that means that soon will go relatively fast. I hope so.
