I am almost 2 years old, I have an Australian daddy and today was the first time I have grilled. Auntie M invited us to their lovely home for an impromptu barbecue (yes, I can say that word too) as the evening weather was so lovely and warm and well, I love food.
ooooooh.... look at this! So many types of sausages, grilled cheese, mini hamburgers and, fresh corn... I love me some corn. We live in an apartment building so this isn't really possible where we are although there is a wood-fired barbecue in the garden. It isn't overly relaxing there though.
Uncle T did the grillmaster duties for us today which is probably lucky. They have a lovely home and live quite close to us although we don't see them as much as we should. Probably because most of the time, someone is a bit ill.. I won't mention names but lately it has been me. You can see the pretty flowers near the grill. There are lots of pretty flowers in this garden and it smells good. I think daddy should bring more flowers home.
Oh, and they had some of this bubbly stuff too but I didn't have any of that and mummy and daddy felt a bit funny after a glass of it in the sun. Daddy said that he is now a 'very cheap date', whatever that means. While the cooking was going on I was playing with my cousins in the sandpit but, it smelled so good.
Finally, it was time to get my teeth into my first taste of barbecue and while I watched everyone with piles of delicious meat, mine looked and tasted a lot like the same food I eat at home... My face really tells the whole story at this point;
Is this it!?
Well, daddy did cut me off most of his roasted corn which was delicious. One day hopefully, these stupid allergies and whatever the hell the twitchiness is will disappear and then I am going to grill the hell out of any animal I catch.
Except Viski. I am going to feed him good and proper til he is fat.
