Here is some winter minimalism for this #wednesdaywalk by tattoodjay@tattoodjay

The winter tends to clear out lots of activity outdoors leaving me with few subjects to photograph. I usually like to go out and look for birds or other interesting critters but only the Canadian geese are out.

This shot reminds me too much of work as I'm working on a project for a large aircraft manufacturer. Perhaps I can sneak this one into my project...

The frozen lake is great for minimalist shots. The ice can create interesting curving patterns. I suspect this curve might have formed from all the harsh winds constantly blowing over the lake.

The cat tails are getting a bit worn down by the wind as well. In a couple months I'll be taking pictures of the red wings perching on these things trying to attack me.

The bullrush weeds are still holding out against the wind. If I were a squirrel I would probably hoard a bunch of these things in my nest to keep warm for winter.

Now for some man-made subjects. With just a bit of photoshopping I could easily turn this into a UFO. I would worry that the air force would try and shoot it down though.

Here's a decoration on a historical house in the neighborhood. I think it must have been built in the 1800s.

Here's another old house probably built in the early 1900s with a less elaborate decoration on a domed roof. I wonder what they could possibly fit in that tiny room underneath it?

Here's an old concrete cross on top of a fairly old church. Its a large old church with all sorts of stained glass. Maybe I can sneak in there for a few photos one day.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
