Here are a few discoveries from this week for #fungifriday by 
I found a really old dead log that is almost falling apart. These tiny little yellow-orange mushrooms were completely infesting it. You can even see some of their mycelium growing around the center of the image.
There must have been thousands of these guys on this one log. The caps are only about half a centimeter in diameter.
Sadly I forgot the name of these guys, a few years ago I had their name pinned down but as usual it was a strange Latin name without a common name so I forgot it lol. It was so obscure that it is listed as inedible and given their tiny size it would be pointless to try and eat them anyway. Perhaps 
Here is what I think is Boletus sensibilis. Sadly this bright colored bolete is not edible as it has toxins that cause stomach upset.
If you pinch these guys or bruise the yellow porous gills it will stain blue immediately.
Here is another Boletus sensibilis but it is getting eaten by Bolete killer mold. Hypomyces chrysospermus is a fungus that mostly attacks boletes in the hot and humidity of summer. It will even attack brittlegills and will try and eat whatever else is in its vicinity.
I would classify this as an LBM (little brown mushroom). There are so many different variants of mushrooms that look like this that they are too hard to identify.
It reminds me of a mower mushroom except it has the little veil ring and a strange pointy cap.
Here is a little tiny UFO. I'm guessing its some kind of amanita maybe Amanita flavoconia or Amanita gemmata its too tiny to get a good ID on it yet.
Here is a tiny Amanita muscaria var. guessowii. These are basically the yellow version of Amanita Muscaria, and trippy hippies that have tried them say they don't really get you high.
