“ Silvertop we are low on propane for the coffee roasters!”😮
Sunday afternoon, and most of the propane suppliers are closed for the day.
Up in the Mountain town of Kendall Washington there is a gas station/ convenient mart, that is always open!
You will pay a bit more per gallon of propane, but it’s a nice Sunday drive!😊
The first photo always impresses me, this is Kendall Highway. The Vine maples are starting to turn brilliant orange, and the tall Douglas Fir trees closely line both sides of the highway for miles!☺️
It’s been a while since we have driven up to this beautiful small town. Many of the small seedling trees that we passed for years are now tall trees!
I always check out the “Kids playground tower” that you see in the third photo. Someone got extremely creative and built this high tower for their kids!🤗
I hope they have safety railing!!😳
In the following photo you can see Liz and our red Suzuki, she is getting the propane tanks filled. This town is surrounded by tall Mountains, a very unique community of people willing to drive a bit further to work in town, (approximately 35 miles) in exchange for a Mountain lifestyle!

The second to last photo is Kendall’s Fire Department. We are still under extreme fire danger……….
Thanks to all the Fire Fighters that are putting their life on the line to protect us!🤗
Hopefully soon we will see some rain, and we will be asking for drier weather, that’s how it rolls in the Pacific Northwest!😇
