“Saying Goodbye!”………🙄
BOOM!!!😳
“Is that Thunder Silvertop?”
Monday was the perfect day to go to the Northwest Washington Fair!🤗
Blue skies and Sunshine, and the crowds are always smaller on a workday!😇
Today Liz and Silvertop were headed to the Lynden Starbucks, and we passed right by the Fairgrounds!
Another…..BOOM!!!!!😬
I didn’t see any Lightning, but the rain storm had definitely arrived!
The heavy rain started pouring down, almost sounding like Hail!😳
Today marks the last day for the Fair this year, at 11PM tonight…………….😮
“Silvertop…. I bet people are scrambling to find a dry spot inside one of the building!”😅
Saturday the crowds are usually “Shoulder to shoulder”…..Outside!
Trying to squeeze thousands of people inside, to escape the rain, can’t be an enjoyable experience!🙄
Thunder and possible Lightning strikes are the cause of many summertime Forest fires!
On the Western side (normally the wetter side) of the Mountains, this is less of a problem…. thankfully!😇
Silvertop grew up in the Midwest, where summer Thunderstorms happened frequently!😇
Back in “Cincy” people would just kick back in a chair and enjoy the storm until it passed ………
As a kid everyone learned how to tell how far away a Lightning strike was likely to be like this………
First the FLASH…….then the BOOM!
You started counting Mississippi one, Mississippi two, Mississippi, three, as soon as you saw the flash!
Until you heard the BOOM!😳
Each “ Mississippi” represented a mile away for the potential lightning strike!
As we sipped our Coffee’s the storm passed………….It was over!😅
“Just like the Northwest Washington Fair………….🙄
Till next year my friends!🤗
Silvertop…….Mike😊
