After turning that pesky electric eel into a memory, I used underwater air pockets to survive the deep path. Lara tried to radio Jonah about the creepy cavern ruins, but got zero response. Soon after, I accidentally plummeted while misjudging a rope swing, triggering a frustratingly funny saga of button-mashing despair.
I successfully took down that aggressive electric eel, which was an incredible relief. Honestly, dealing with a shocking underwater adversary was not on my itinerary for the day, so getting past it felt like a major victory.
There was a very tight space ahead, but I focused and carefully went through it, and we just made it out to the other side in one piece.
With that watery nightmare behind me, I now needed to focus on completing the trial of the spider. As I emerged from the flooded passage, I noticed clear signs indicating that people had been here before.
I really needed to get up to the higher platforms, and after a thorough scan of the room, I guessed I would need to dive into the water again to find a hidden passage, but unfortunately, there was absolutely nothing useful here that would help me get up to the high ledges.
Honestly, I felt kind of stuck here, wandering around in circles while looking at the damp walls. But at last, my persistence paid off, and I found something texturized on the wall to grab and climb up.
I happily used my climbing axes to scale the rock face all the way to the top. I finally got to the high ground at last, proving to myself that I was not so stuck after all.
Once on the ledge, Lara was trying to contact Jonah to give him a piece of her mind, but there was no response so far.
Looking around the new platform, I had to ask myself, what do we have here? It looked highly suspicious, like someone had tried black magic or something equally creepy here. I could see some rather eerie statues scattered around the stone structures.
I cautiously went through a very tight alleyway path, hoping there would not be any explosive traps around or ahead to blow me to pieces. The path opened up to a massive drop.
I realized I needed to throw the grapple axe while jumping to reach the far rock walls because it was a massive gap ahead. Well, it actually worked perfectly. It looked exactly like I was swinging across the chasm like Spider-Man, which felt pretty amazing for about two seconds.
But I completely missed the timing because I forgot how to use the rope properly. I ended up falling straight down into the abyss. Well, on the bright side, I knew the correct path now, so restarting would not be a massive problem. I decided I would do it real fast this time to make up for the embarrassment.
And when I was trying to remember how to create momentum while swinging, I got an electric power cut and my IPS stopped working for overload. Luckily, I got both the recording and the screenshots stored safely.
