I met Azar at the Ravensthorpe docks, who brought a message from the King of Dublin about setting up a trade route. Because rivals blocked the river, I took my longship down the Nene River to clear the blockade. My crew and I raided the south structure, killed the Saxon guards, and burned the side down.
I started a new quest line for the Wrath of the Druids expansion, where my main goal was to open up a river trade route back to Ravensthorpe. To get things started, I walked down to the docks to meet a new arrival who looked a bit lost after traveling alone.
I struck up a conversation with her, learning her name was Azar and that she had brought a sample of goods all the way from Ireland.
Hytham walked up during our conversation and recognized Azar, explaining that Azar was originally from the East but currently lived in Ireland. Azar handed over a letter from the King of Dublin, who wanted to set up trade agreements with England and claimed to know Eivor personally.
Eivor made it clear he wasn't a king and had no immediate plans to sail off to Ireland. Hytham mentioned that Azar needed a proper trading post first and asked where her merchant ship was parked.
Azar explained that rival traders had blocked the nearby river, keeping her ship from reaching the settlement.
Eivor agreed to clear the river route, so Hytham told Azar to track him down once the waterway was safe.
I jumped into my longship and set sail out of Ravensthorpe, heading straight toward the mouth of the Nene River where the naval blockade was located. As we hit open water and raised the sails, my crew started singing a heavy Viking song that fit the voyage perfectly.
The journey took us through familiar waters, and I recognized the old river blockade from when we first arrived in England months ago.
I noticed a few small settlements along the shore, but since they didn't have the red raid markers or the specific building supplies I needed for Ravensthorpe, I passed them by and kept sailing straight toward our target.
Once the longship reached the Nene Blockade, I officially called for a raid. The mission required us to destroy structures on both sides of the riverbank.
The north side was already taking damage somehow, so I steered my crew straight toward the south structures to clear out the Saxon soldiers guarding the shore.
I triggered a few special abilities right away to cut through their ranks fast, landing a couple of clean beheadings during the thick of the fight.
Once every Saxon guard on the south bank was dead, I pulled out my torches and tossed them onto the marked wooden carts, burning that side of the blockade completely to the ground.
That's all for now.
