Ohai, Its Shoogie! I hope you all had the most amazing holiday... I still can't believe it's over. If you haven't seen my latest post, I blogged my entire advent calendar (Catch up: http://bit.ly/2l2ewc6). I took a tiny break from Steemit to enjoy Christmas with my family, but snapped loads of pictures to share with you! Heres what you missed...
Heres a little taste of some of my decor, I love simple touches that make the house look sparkly and uplifting.
We saved the stockings for Christmas day because we knew we wouldn't be going out and wanted it to really "feel" like a holiday.
I won't bore you with photos of us unwrapping everything, but I knew you'd giggle at the aftermath. Who knew three stockings could produce such a huge mess of tissue, ribbon and paper!
There's hubby, he just opened his Blizzard Cute but Deadly blind box! Series three is for Overwatch figures only.
He got Soldier 76! It's funny, he only recently started playing Soldier so it was a nice surprise.
We're both pretty big into Overwatch... I got Jackal Pharah! I was hoping for Bastion or D.Va, but Pharah was in my top five (especially since it's her Jackal skin).
Heres some of the goodies from our stockings: Ferrero Rochers, German Lebkuchen cookies, blind box toys, Lush body wash and my favorite Rose hydrosol spray. We also had Lavender, Citrus Bliss, Deep Breath and Aphrodisiac essential oils stuffed inside our socks.
The cats had a bit of fun with their stockings, they got everything they wanted... catnip, mice, a hexmouse and a few other little toys.
Anubis especially loved the catnip, he went pretty wild after this then crashed for a several hour long nap.
Ziggy is our lounge lizard! hes got a teepee, two cat trees, a smaller bed, heated pad and now a massive dog bed! This is a great example of cat logic... It's best to sit next to the bed, but never in it! He did take to it later in the evening.
There goes the hexmouse, I still can't believe how much they liked it... because cats. I later tied a ribbon to the tail!
After stockings my husband asked if I'd check the mailbox with him... I didn't think we'd received anything due to it being a major holiday, but I went because why not!? To my surprise, he had snuck out and left this for me to find!
Inside the envelope was a map and acceptance letter for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! The letter included a list of items needed to attend. The list of books, materials and garb were scratched out... all but "a wand". We've been binging the Harry Potter movies all month, so I thought it was a nod to an advent day weeks back where we had an HP themed slumber party.
I opened the sparkly silver box last, it was a gift card for a wand at Ollivander's. The surprises didn't stop there, he purchased us both season passes for Universal Studios! We'll be heading to their "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" next weekend! I still can't believe we're going to universal... excited!
When the excitement of gifts died down we enjoyed our leftovers from Christmas Eve. The meal from Honeybake only needed heated up so it was nice and easy. While I'm stuck with a bit of a pudgy tummy, it was definitely worth!
Sugar glazed ham, mac n' cheese, stuffing and Hawaiian sweet rolls!
Honeybake makes a really decent pumpkin pie, thats my piece loaded it up with cool whip for the win!
Everyone needs a light up 8-bit wreath, I mean am I right? Heres a few cards we received this month, it's nice to be thought of.
As always thank you for spending time with me today and a big welcome to my new followers.. I appreciate your support! I hope you all have a fantastic rest of your day, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. If you missed my last post, catch up here: http://bit.ly/2l2ewc6
